Take Control with NanoPro®

Jenny Phillips, Director of Marketing • Apr 13, 2021

A recent article from CropLife® describes the ongoing challenge growers face with herbicide-resistant weeds: "The evolution of herbicide-resistant weeds is one of the most significant developments in agriculture today." A few years back CropLife® conducted their annual look at herbicide-resistant weeds, in which there was an estimate of less than 200, but "By the end 2020, however, weed scientists estimate that there are now more than 500 herbicide-resistant weeds spread out across the globe."

Just Killin' it with NanoPro®

Growers across the country are seeing the benefits of using nanoliquid technology in both their fertility and crop protection applications. NanoPro®, when used at 4 oz/ac at under just $3/ac, has provided immediate control on some of the most stubborn weeds.

In recent photos from Jeff Howe, Region Manager PNW, we see the speed of control on cover crop rye grass when using NanoPro with glyphosate, even after the rain shower 30 minutes after application, day and night temperatures 30s-low 50s.

Authorized dealers of Aqua-Yield countrywide are always eager to promote the effectiveness and speed that NanoPro® offers. According to Finn Telles of Penny Newman Farm Products, California, “NanoPro® has been very effective with resistant weeds. Our growers often excitedly send pictures where they immediately see the effectiveness of burn down.” Cody Hatzenbuhler of Pan Ag, North Dakota, states, ""NanoPro® has worked well with other chemicals, allowing for growers to go out at the low-end of the rate range while delivering the same or better weed control.”

NanoPro®, energized by Aqua-Yield® NanoShield® Technology, can be added to any spray mixture to enhance plant uptake of specialty and generic crop protection products. This product is field tested and grower approved to advance the way you manage crops and control weeds.

Austin states, “There was a descent thatch layer and take-all root rot in the grass but we have pushed some very nice new root growth in just two weeks.” Take-all root rot is a common fungal disease in St. Augustine grass and bermudagrass, thriving in thatch causing weak, dead patches of turf.

NanoPro® is easy to use, inexpensive, nanoliquid solution that can help reduce reliance on crop protection chemistries by accelerating delivery of pesticide AIs to crops' root systems and foliage, regardless of application method. At less than $4.00 to the acre, NanoPro has been proven to speed the pace of glyphosate uptake in various weeds, dramatically improving rain fastness and weed kill from the application.

Sod producers have a unique problem every growing season. Sod is the one crop when harvested where soil is actually taken with it. Think about that for a minute. The very soil that is needed to grow the sod is removed at harvest.
