Dealer Spotlight: Genesis of Glen Rock, PA

Director of Marketing • Apr 19, 2021

One of the newest dealers of Aqua-Yield® promotes nanoliquid technology for the green industry.

Genesis Turfgrass was founded by Mike Del Biondo in Maryland November of 2005. Genesis is “dedicated to providing the highest quality products and services to management professionals, keeping plants and ponds healthy, construction projects up to par, roads and buildings clean, and businesses growing.” Armed with a large, experienced team, Genesis has grown to serve turf and ornamental professionals across several states: Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Washington DC.

Genesis Turfgrass has been an authorized Aqua-Yield dealer for only a few months but is very encouraged by the response they are getting from customers and excited by such a cutting-edge technology. Genesis provides solutions for sport fields and golf courses to arbor and lawn care. According to their motto, Genesis has “every product you need to keep your business growin’ on”.

Brian Bachman, Genesis Sales Leader based out of New Tripoli, PA, has been with the company almost from the beginning. To start, he’s been focusing on selling the NanoPro® product for improved crop protection applications. NanoPro® is a product with a light humic acid content and Aqua-Yield® proprietary NanoShield® technology, added at just 4 oz to the acre to crop protection or biostimulant tank preparations.  NanoPro® provides the penetration and uptake to help target turf tissues (foliar and root zone), giving better control with reduced active ingredients and cost. Bachman states, “Professionals are eager to use this product as it has a lot of potential and efficacy, a great price point, and is science-based. It’s really an easy sell from a sales perspective; it fits into every type of program and can go with everything.”

Aqua-Yield® doesn’t fall short on support either: “Aqua-Yield® is very timely and offers solid science-based answers. They offer everything you would want from a distributor aspect.” Chris Papada, Independent Representative for Aqua-Yield® states, “I think that by matching Aqua-Yield® with Genesis, we have matched two companies which are at the forefront of their respective industries, technology innovation, and manufacturing with technology sales and distribution. Genesis has an educated and committed sales force, both of which are needed to help end-users understand new technology and use it properly. In the long run, it is the end-user who benefits most from this partnership.”

Although Genesis is still fairly “green” to nanoliquid technology, Bachman is excited for the possibilities and expanding their product line to include additional Aqua-Yield® products. He looks forward to the increased presence of nanoliquids in the marketplace.

Aqua-Yield® appreciates their newly established partnership with Genesis Turfgrass and looks forward to finding solutions for the growing needs of the Green Industry. For more information, please call 717-759-8151, or visit genesisturfgrass.com or needfastgrass.com.

Austin states, “There was a descent thatch layer and take-all root rot in the grass but we have pushed some very nice new root growth in just two weeks.” Take-all root rot is a common fungal disease in St. Augustine grass and bermudagrass, thriving in thatch causing weak, dead patches of turf.

NanoPro® is easy to use, inexpensive, nanoliquid solution that can help reduce reliance on crop protection chemistries by accelerating delivery of pesticide AIs to crops' root systems and foliage, regardless of application method. At less than $4.00 to the acre, NanoPro has been proven to speed the pace of glyphosate uptake in various weeds, dramatically improving rain fastness and weed kill from the application.

Sod producers have a unique problem every growing season. Sod is the one crop when harvested where soil is actually taken with it. Think about that for a minute. The very soil that is needed to grow the sod is removed at harvest.
